About Software and Computer Systems Company, LLC

SCSC Logo

Software and Computer Systems Company, LLC (SCSC) was formed in 2005. It is legally licensed to do business as a limited liability company in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia in the United States of America.

Originally, SCSC focussed on producing our own line of cross platform software tools using Java. The applications consisted of performance enhancing application tools, engineering and scientific tools, and tools for the medical sciences. In 2008, SCSC changed it’s focus and became dedicated solely to developing our own products for use on the Mac OS X  and IOS operating systems.

Our current product line up for Mac OS X consists of  Scannerz, Performance Probe 2, Phoenix, FSE, FSE-Lite, and SpotOff 2 with Spot-O-Meter 2. Scannerz is an SSD, HDD, and system scanning and testing tool. Performance Probe 2 is an abbreviated form of Apple's Activity Monitor that allows a user to easily and quickly monitor system performance and loading without needing the full screen that Activity Monitor typically requires.  Phoenix is an operating system extraction tool for creating emergency boot drives and can also do limited cloning and data recovery. FSE is a configurable file system events monitor, and FSE-Lite is a less capable version of FSE and is included in all base versions of Scannerz. SpotOff and Spot-O-Meter allow a user to control and monitor Spotlight and Time Machine indexing activity and problems created by the mds process. Our product line is frequently updated and expanding, so check back soon for more information. See below to gain immediate access to more information on our products.

SCSC also offers full service IT consulting for Mac OS X based systems. SCSC consultants can tackle tasks ranging from software development to hardware analysis for Mac OS X as well as a host of other services on other platforms. Consultants typically have a minimum of 15 years of experience before being considered for work with SCSC's IT consulting group. Consultants are typically well qualified in Objective C, C, and Java, at a minimum. When you deal with SCSC's IT Consulting group, you will be dealing with consultants that are seasoned veterans.
